It’s that time of year again, when many people in the United States start making New Year’s resolutions. Many times, these are related to weight and health or fitness. There is always a tendency to overeat and eat things that aren’t necessarily good for you during the holidays.
What happens this year will be the same thing that invariably happens every year: lots of people will join gyms. Many will also start new diets.

Unfortunately for most, by February, the new exercise routines and diets will already be history, and all of the old habits will have crept back into their lives.

The biggest problem is that the new routines are such a radical change from the old ones that each person has trouble keeping up. Change is better when it is gradual, or done in a way that doesn’t interfere too much with the old routine. If you want the results, you have to make the changes.

There are lots of little ways to adjust your eating and exercise habits. Subtle ways of change that you barely notice, but add up to more fitness and pounds lost over time. In my new e-book, Simple Weight Loss (www.simpleweightlossbook.com) I discuss many easy to implement ways to lose weight and get fit, while barely noticing the changes to your lifestyle.

The biggest hurdle to overcome is your perception of yourself. You have probably gotten used to what you look like, and whether you like it or not, that’s what you see in your mind. You have to visualize constantly what you will look like after the changes. Professional athletes have been using visualization for years to improve themselves. In a less-extreme way, you can do that for yourself. Once you have changes your view of what you should look like, then the weight loss and fitness goals will come much easier.

When is it the time to stop using natural weight loss methods and start using unnatural ones? This is a question primarily asked by people suffering from obesity, and one that requires a great deal of thought prior.

Obesity in adults is something that can do damage to more than just your self-esteem. As a result of being considerably overweight, much more strain is placed on your joints, particularly at the knee.

Generally, your breathing becomes shallower, having to work harder to draw in the large amounts of oxygen required for simple tasks such as walking across the road or climbing a flight of stairs.

In addition, being obese puts you at an increased risk of diseases such as arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease, to name a few. If you are female, the risk increases yet again with infertility, breast cancer, and endometrium cancer being just a few of the diseases that you might suffer from as a result of being overweight.

Obese people tend to have great difficulty sticking to natural weight loss methods as, for the first few weeks ‘ or even months ‘ any weight lost tends not to make a visible difference to their appearance.

Concerning appearance, which is the least important health-wise but the most important to the ego, most overweight people have great difficulty locating clothes that fit well, without having to go to a tailor. It becomes tiresome to constantly try clothes on that do not fit well or are tight, and soul-destroying.

Some of the different types of diets that over weight people have been recommended ‘ which are those aimed specifically at losing weight very quickly ‘ include ones used on obese patients awaiting surgery.

Such diets consist of mostly of water and vegetables, so reduce the calorie intake significantly without risking dehydration. Other natural weightloss methods include concentrated green tea drops, food combining, and the blood group diet, all of which rely on speeding up your metabolism.

Ultimately, in order to encourage natural weight loss, you need a faster metabolism. To do this, you need to eat little and often, lots of fruit and vegetables, and drink plenty of water.

Should you no longer believe that natural weight loss methods are worthwhile, then the alternative, of unnatural weightloss methods, can be considered. Some of these include diet pills to suppress hunger, the insertion of a gastric balloon, having your stomach stapled, and liposuction, amongst others.

Whilst these may seem like a way to solve the problem of obesity, they do not guarantee you will enjoy a consistent weight loss, unless your eating habits change permanently.

Unfortunately, most people suffering from obesity do not follow natural weightloss methods because they find them too difficult. It is far easier to try to ignore the problem, or eat something sweet or high in fat, and far more expensive to switch entirely to the healthy option of regular fresh fruit and salad daily.

If you feel your weight is becoming a problem and you no longer have control over how much or what you eat, then it is advisable to see a nutritionist or a doctor. Sometimes, excessive eating can be due to an underlying problem and other times, it can simply be from habit.

Invariably, it is important to ascertain the reason behind the obesity before you embark upon any natural weight – loss programs.

Every one of us humans innate biomedical factors that influence health functions, since every person has a different combination of characteristics from either one of there parents or ancestors they adapt to different types of psychological behaviors and nutrient needs. Therefore some of us are genetically suited for vegetarian-based diets and others are not. Some get satisfied with nutritional needs by diet alone and others require nutrition supplements to overcome genetic aberration. When genetics differ from body to body in the process of food then we can ponder that some of us have an overload of nutrients than the others. Some of us have very low levels of such nutrients causing at most times the RDA ( Recommended Daily Allowance ) to achieve not on a physical but also a mental health unbalance. Its also very important to understand that excessive amount of such nutrients can also result to serious health problems- namely such nutrients include copper, iron, folic acid,, calcium and many forms of fatty acids, this naturally differs from person to person but the presence of multiple vitamins and minerals can be harmful for some and act normal for some. The medical communities agree on tremendous influence of neurotransmitters on behavior of disorder. People can have a predisposition for there problems due to genetically aberrant level of neurotransmitters. Our mental health is dependant upon having the proper amounts nutrient intake or presence to be comprehensive of no critical brain malfunction. The brain works like a factory producing serotonin , dopamine and various such chemicals everyday, the only relief for our brain is the proper intake of nutrients such as vitamins and minerals. Improper amounts of nutrients can cause serious problems with our neurotransmitters. People with depression require basic amounts of vitamin B-6. This vitamin is the deplete nutrient we persist or have to synthesis our actual mental health trauma. There are other serotonin enhancing medications and other altering drugs but the true cause of mental difficulties so often remains uncorrected, therefore if a patient needs the support in basic mental conditions medical administrators improvise on vitamin B-6 with supporting nutrients to achieve simple health benefits of the body and mind. Hence nutrient therapy can be very potent chemistry that doesn’t involve side effects, since no molecules foreign are needed for body support. This therapy may eventually eliminate the need for most psychiatric medication and observation. Nutrients play a critical role in mental health, they are the building blocks of the nervous system, correct testing and understand of deficiencies, and overloads can pinpoint the causes of many sever mental symptoms, thus opening the door to hope and recovery.
